form




tonight I did my first supervised crossfit workout at pioneer valley crossfit. sandy and sean were nice enough to invite me to join them for "nasty girls". I ended up subbing the mucle-ups with assisted ring pullups and pushups 3 for 1. also did a lesser weight on the hanging power clean. (65?) I ended up two rounds at 17:35. I definately need to work on my form.. hence the picture of the monkey with bad form.

anyways i guess I can't expect much better after being away from crossfit for a while now. but it was awesome to get the chance to workout with other crossfitters, in a crossfit gym. :)

5k today




today was run a 5k for crossfit and I chose to run inside @ the planet because it was pretty cold out. I just loaded some old cd's on my ipod and happened to start the workout on the prodigy.. so I ran the 5k with prodigy blasting. my time was a pr on the nike + ipod setup @ 30.59 still extremely slow compared to college but considering that I started out a few weeks ago at 37.20 im pretty happy about the results.

pretty much all day I shoveled snow and graded a few cellars... I shoveled so hard that I puked lunch all over the footing... so I decided that tonight I should take off from running.

update.


so for the past few weeks I have been running again. almost religeously.. and using nike + ipod to keep the motivation. I did two crossfit workouts more recently, but have been so frustrated trying to do the prescribed wod in planet fitness that i thought id move to a more cardio centered regiment.
